Since 1955, Courtney Agencies Ltd. has been a locally owned business headquartered in Vancouver, BC. While the world of trade and Courtney’s own business network becomes increasingly global, it remains very important to this family business to support and remain active in its home community.

As a director of the national CSCB board, Paul Courtney currently focuses on strengthening the quality of education that professional Canadian custom brokers attain during their certification process.

In his past role as President of the Regional BC CSCB board, Paul has been a strong advocate for ensuring the needs of the independent customs brokerage sector are represented. While the independent sector faces increasing consolidation pressures in favour of national and multinational firms, Courtney Agencies’ success proves that a small to medium sized business can compete effectively on value and service with its large-scale peers.

Courtney Agencies Ltd. supports various charitable initiatives, most recently the Canadian Society of Intestinal Research at www.badgut.com. And, brothers Paul and Don Courtney have been active participants and supporters of amateur league soccer in the lower mainland since 1995.

Courtney Agencies’ mission statement recognizes that “by valuing our employees and operating in a socially and environmentally responsible manner we are best able to serve our clients over the long term.” With plans to stay headquartered in our community for at least another 50 years, Courtney Agencies Ltd continues to seek new ways to activate this commitment.

Courtney Agencies Ltd has been approved for the Partners in Protection program as a partner contributing to the protection of Canadian Society and the facilitation of legitimate trade.
